Hello again,
Learning the song Theme From “JURASSIC PARK” from the Universal Motion Picture JURASSIC PARK Composed by John Williams is a challenge for me as I have to learn the bass clef (among other things). I have done some research and found this website very helpful. What have I learned?
- The bass clef is also known as the F clef because it wraps around the F note on the staff
- The notes on the lines and in the spaces are G, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, A
- For the Spaces, we could say All Cows Eat Grass
- For the Lines, we could say Good Boys Don’t Forget Anything
With all that being said, learning and developing the ability to use my left and right hands simultaneously, but doing different things, is a challenge, more challenging than I imagined. My current focus is still hitting the notes and trying to play the notes with the proper timings in mind. For now, I am playing everything slowed down. It is easy to get frustrated and lose focus on the goal and the fun. Luckily, I feel that I still have my sights locked on the goal and I am enjoying the learning process.
Till next time,
Preston
