Hello again,

I have started working on my Technology inquiry project. As the title suggests, my group and I chose to research how technology incorporates and can be used to teach environmental awareness. My teammates chose social media and the environment and virtual reality and environmental awareness. I have chosen how technology-based games incorporate environmental awareness.  All of these can be brought into the classroom one way or another.

Social media is a part of most people’s lives already, so when we bring the conversation into the classroom about how to conduct environmental research using social media and sharing their results, the majority of the students are comfortable navigating the vast oceans called social media. My counterpart, Katie, also researched safe tips for social media navigation and uses.

 

Virtual reality is an up and coming thing in the technology industry. Not only is virtual reality used for an enhanced sense of reality in playing video games, but it also has educational uses. My other counterpart, David, has researched the in’s and outs of virtual reality with respect to its educational uses.
