Hello again,
Okay, maybe this title is a false advertisement. I am not a video editing expert. But I am on my way to becoming one. I have recently had the pleasure of learning about video editing using iMovie. Not only was it fun, but it was also useful. I learned how to:
- add background music
- integrate transitions
- create rolling credits
- make a title with entrance music and a background image
- and how to create a backdrop for greenscreen and placing the video in front of it.
You can learn all of these skills too using this Introduction to Video Editing.
Fortunately, if you don’t have an Apple computer, there are other video editing platforms such as WeVideo. If you just want to edit audio, then I recommend checking out Audacity or Garageband.
How does this relate to education and teaching the future? Not only if the future going to be very much technology-based, but if you (a teacher of some sort or another) are able to make your lessons more interesting and engaging, the students are more likely to learn. No guarantee from me, but I highly recommend that, as an educator of the future, you know what the future will know.
Till next time,
Preston
